and Customs charities guidance
HMRC
is reviewing its charities guidance to make it more accessible. HMRC
sees this as a major undertaking which will take time. They say
they'll be contacting many groups and individuals to understand their
issues and concerns. Details

Commission News
The
Spring 2011 edition of Charity Commission News is now available. You
can find it on the Charity
Commission's website. This issue introduces a new piece of
guidance to help you manage your charity's assets and resources. It
also suggests tips for protecting your charity against fraud, and
includes an update on the Commission's strategic review.

People's Postcode Trust
The
People's Postcode Trust is open for applications for grant
applications. The trust offers grants both over and under £2,000.
Projects applied for in this round must be run between July and
December 2011. Deadline: 27 May 2011. Further

Jobs are offering free advertising for organisations looking for
volunteers on guardianjobs.co.uk
as part of its commitment to voluntary sector recruitment. 207,000
Guardian Jobs users work in the Voluntary or Charity sector.

A
number of items have become available due to a local couple
emigrating from the UK. Items include: double bed, ironing board and
iron, kettle, toaster, plates, cutlery & other kitchen utensils,
a TV stand, a book shelf and other related items. If you or your

Advertising
on your web site
Last
month new legislation came into force that regulates the content of
advertising on web sites. Previously on-line advertising was
unregulated which led to many complaints about the content of
advertisements. A new online
code has been published by the Advertising
Standards Authority.
