Event - Young Epilepsy at the Belfry, Redhill
Young
Epilepsy are fundraising at the Belfry Shopping Centre in Redhill
over the next few weeks. Why not take a look at their cards and other
festive offerings, or give them a hand and volunteer for a couple of
hours. The Belfry are also donating 50p from each ice skating ticket

Microsoft Publisher Course for Volunteers
The
WEA are running a course on Publisher from 28th February 2012 (10am
- 12noon) for those who want to volunteer with an organisation. The
course will run for 5 weeks and be based at the Community Facility in

Reigate
& Banstead Sports Council - Volunteers Needed
The
Sports Council, usually known as rb sport, is an entirely voluntary
organisation which works with the Borough Council to look after the
interests of sport in the Borough. They awards grants to clubs and
individuals, hold events and liaise with members and the Borough

The
Sports Council is looking for volunteers to assist in the running of
the organisation; A Treasurer, Grants administrator, Website and

We
have a lady looking to provide free acupuncture to people in pain.
She is fully qualified and licensed, and would like to offer her

Grants
are available for individuals seeking to educate themselves and for groups/charities
looking to develop financial awareness, budgeting and debt
prevention projects.
Grants for groups/innovative projects - Supports projects such as
self help groups and other innovative projects that will help educate
people about money/debt/consumer issues. Grants of up to £5,000
are available. The next deadline for applications is 31 January 2012.
Grants for individuals - Grants of up to £500 to help pay
towards an approved course that will help improve their ability to
budget and manage their finances. The next deadline for applications
is 28 February 2012.

Funding
- Nominate Trust £250k Challenge - New Fund for Older Entrepreneurs
The
Nominate Trust £250k Challenge is supporting digital
entrepreneurs over the age of 55 who have a viable idea for an
internet start-up project which tackles the social problems
afflicting senior citizens, and helps older people access the internet.
The
programme was launched following research showing there is an urgent
need for more web-based solutions designed for older people, by older
people - as senior citizens are more likely to seek support from
their peers than from younger age groups. Grants of between
£1,000 and £100,000 may be awarded towards projects costing
up to £250,000 in total.
The
deadline for first stage applications is 1 February 2012. Those
shortlisted must submit their full applications by 1 March 2012. Further

Sector - The Third Sector has launched a new website,
www.thirdsector.co.uk. It features new online resources, including
The Fundraiser's Toolkit, Charities and the Law, and Good Governance.
There are comprehensive good practice guides for all the main
disciplines of voluntary sector work, better blogs, and a streamlined
search facility. And its unrivalled service of daily breaking news
and email bulletins continues as before.
SSAFA
Forces Help are looking for a Hon Secretary, Reigate &
Banstead Division to join their team of 10 volunteers whom are
managed by the Branch Secretary, and is responsible for allocating
cases to the volunteers and monitoring their progress. He or
she can also undertake casework and will be fully trained at
SSAFAs central office in London. This is a marvellous
opportunity to work with and help members or ex-members of the Armed
Forces and their dependents, the majority of whom are now elderly.

East Surrey is looking to recruit volunteers for their next 10
week training course which starts in February 2012 in Redhill.
